There is a specific gift that God has given you. This gift is unique and it is intended to bless humanity that God will give you the grace to come in contact with in the journey of your life. This gift is intended to shoot you into the limelight in the journey of your life. You may become famous as a result of this precious gift. You may become financially blessed through the gift.  But note: the intention of God is not that the gift may make you famous and rich. His sole intention is that you may manifest in the gift in such a way that the human race will be touched, transformed and be blessed by your gift. Therefore, if you are manifesting in this gift, do not allow it to make your head swell. In fact, since you know that it is a gift from God, it is supposed to make you so humble in appreciation to God—the giver of the gift.

To some people, this may seem strange. You may not have any idea about this particular gift. It is not an indication that you do not have the gift. In fact, it is locked up in the core of your being. It is your duty to unearth it, discover it and begin to manifest in it. I cannot describe this gift to you. But certainly, if you pay attention, and carefully attempt to look inward and if you are sensitive to the impulses of Holy Spirit, you will be able to identify the gift. I can give you a hint about it, but how to discover it and develop it is up to you.  Anything good, that seem naturally easy for you to do and is naturally of a great interest to you, and you desire it to be a way of ministering to the need of another person, pay a close attention to it, it may be the gift of God for His glory in your life. You might have known it and perhaps you have discovered your own gift. The scripture guided us concerning this gift. “Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.” I Corinthians 12:4-11 (KJV)

When Joseph the son of Jacob revealed his dream to his people, he ran into a serious problem because of the household jealousy. His father ‘hushed’ him, saying: “Should me and your mother be bowing down for you?” His brethren made jest of him. They called him names ‘Joseph the dreamer.’ They hated him with passion because of his gift. They tried to end his dream and his gift in the dry pit, but they eventually sold him into slavery. They came back to their father and broke the news to the old man that a wild animal had killed Joseph. Nevertheless, no one could silence the mighty and brilliant giant inside Joseph. With godly focus and kindheartedness, Joseph continued to look upward unto God. Everything he touched in his master’s business became a blessing. Joseph never lost focus of righteousness. Mrs. Potiphar could not shut down the gift of God in him with her alluring temptation of infidelity. Joseph did not frustrate the gift of God in him. With the patience and uprightness of mind he chose not to silence the giant in him for the glory of God. With integrity of heart, righteousness and right attitude within, and above all, the manifestation of the reverential fear of God in him, he jealously guarded the precious gift of God in him. Joseph declared unto her, There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back anything from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” Genesis 39:9 (KJV)

Since Joseph was a slave, it was the word of the wife of his master against his. With a feeble and baseless uninvestigated complaint of the wife of Potiphar to her husband, Joseph was cast into the dungeon. In the dungeon a new chapter of his gift was opened. He became a champion with the heart of gold among the prisoners. He was a wise counselor and manifested in his gift of interpretation of the dreams of his co-prisoners. The commander of the prison put him in charge of some of the prisoners.  He did not lose hope. He never dipped his hand into evil things. He always put God in position of preeminence in his life. He always gave his best ability in any condition he found himself. At long last, the Mercy of God located him, and from dungeon, the hand of God lifted him up to the mountain top of his life.  He eventually made it to the palace of Pharaoh as the economic adviser and prominent personality in the Kingdom of Pharaoh in Egypt

Joseph did not silence the giant in him; he listened to the impulses of Holy Spirit. You will not silence the giant of the grace of God in you. You will not frustrate the gift of the Holy Spirit within you. With absolute trust in the Lord and unfailing hope; with strong desire to give your best when the grace was extended to you, and above all, your choice to eschew evil and heart of forgiveness towards others, you will surely get to your palace. The Glory of God will shine brightly in all your righteous and holy endeavors.

Oh Heavenly Father, enlighten my heart and reveal the gift that you have endowed me. Please Merciful Father, endow me with your grace to humbly manifest in the gift to actively function in my Christian responsibilities for your glory in such a way that humanity will be blessed in it, in Jesus name, Amen.
