One Day Sale at the Cross

If one have the grace of learning under a spiritually endowed man of God, there is no way the inspiration of the word of God can be ceased and every day a new revelation will be available for those who possessed spiritual receptivity. On November 2, 2014 I learnt from my Pastor in the church, that all daily events that are happening in our secular lives, are spiritual messages for anyone that is spiritually in-tuned.

My Pastor began to say, “Even in the world, the departmental stores declare a day of Sale where virtually all items in the store will be made available with a discount price tag. This, of course, made people to rush to those departmental stores to buy as much commodities as they can with their little resources.” He went further by saying that, a minute after the midnight of the one day sale, the prices of the items in the stores will be reverted to the old expensive ones.

‘He [God] says, At the acceptable time I listened to you, and on the day of Salvation I helped you.  “Behold, now is the acceptable time, behold, now is the day of salvation.'” (2 Corinthians 6:2) NASB The grace of salvation that had been offered to mankind free of charge, in a platter of gold, like a One Day Sale of the secular departmental store sale’s policy, without paying a dime for it, without rendering a task or a duty for it. The debts of your sinfulness will be cancelled on this day of grace when you repented of them.  The door of mercy of God will be opened to you to guide you unto righteousness and enhance the blessing of God in your life.  You will be Spiritually adopted as the son of God on this day of grace. “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” (John 1:12) You will be incorporated into the covenant of love of God. There are so many spiritual blessings in the package of salvation. The only simple price tag of our salvation is faith. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)  But unfortunately, people still do not always take advantage of this great gift on the day of grace of salvation that Jesus Christ had offered.

That is why the Holy Spirit says, “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness.” (Hebrews 3:7-8 NLT) The Holy Spirit is encouraging us to be wiser today and take the advantage of the grace of God for our own good so that we do not be like the Israelites of old that frustrated the grace of God that was extended to them. Beloved, please cash in on the grace of God to embrace salvation because, tomorrow may be too late!

Prayer: O Lord, grant me the grace to apply spiritual wisdom in sincerely taking advantage of the uncommon grace of salvation so that I can wholly accept the precious and encompassing gift of salvation that Christ had offered me on the Cross of Calvary to partake in the covenant of His love, in Jesus name, Amen.
