“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13

I humbly appeal that you should please read the passage above patiently, prayerfully at multiple times of your choice until this powerful spiritual understanding of the statement of the Heavenly Father sinks in deep into your mind. Please flow along and trust in the Spirit of the Living God to grant us insight and enlightened heart so that the thoughtfulness of God concerning our lives may manifest in His awesome plans. The beauty of this passage is that our Heavenly Father knows, (He is not ignorant) concerning the thought He has toward us. Plan of God is a supernatural miraculous executable plan. It is a tested plan that has never failed. It is an ascertained plan that is ordained in the authority of Heaven.  It is a plan that has never been revealed or known to any man. It is a plan of uncommon and unprecedented miracle that only Almighty God can do.  The beauty of the plan of God is that there is always a set time of its manifestation at appropriate time in your life. “Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.” (Psalm 103:13)

The Egyptians finest army and their fierce charioteers thought that they had cornered the Israelites at the shore of Red Sea in their helplessness.  Unprecedented pandemonium ensued among the people of God. Panicking and despair were not enough strong words to describe their state of helplessness and hopelessness.  Feeble aged people were among the helpless.  The pregnant women were also there. The clueless children were playing as usual close to their parents in the new environment at the seashore. The elders gathered in small groups, some were agitating and some complaining that they should have been left in Egypt to serve the Egyptians instead of dying in the wilderness.  But God had a plan. He had never planned to leave His own to the desires of their enemies. Moses the leader of the people of God knew that God could not have led them thus far and abandoned them at the shore of the Red Sea.  He knew that the Heavenly King was up to something great. He took the mantle of faith and plugged himself to the plan of God. He stood up and encouraged the Israelites and said, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:13-14) The Merciful God responded to Moses saying, “Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” (Exodus 14:15-16) We know the rest of the story of how God in an unprecedented miracle parted the Red Sea into two and the Israelites walked through the sea on a dry ground to their safety onto the other side of the sea.  The pursuing Egyptians mighty army and their charioteers were all drowned in the Red Sea. God fought for His people according to His marvelous plans and according to the prayer of Moses.

The Wall of Jericho was an impenetrable protective barricade of the ancient days in the land of Canaan. The wall was the confidence of the city that enemies could not penetrate nor obliterate the wall to attack the city.  In addition to this, the sharp arrow shooters always operate from the top high wall to attack any intruder that might attempt to engage in battle against the city. But the city wall of Jericho obstructed the way to the covenanted inheritance of the children of Israelites in the land of Canaan. The ancient time was not our days of long-range supersonic missiles weapon of war. It was not our day of big guns and military artillery tanks that can breakdown any barricades. But the Lord God Almighty that had plans concerning the lives of His children. The Lord was on the side of His people—the Israelites.  If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31) At that point, God commanded Joshua, And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.” (Joshua 6:3-5) The battle logistic seemed illogical, militarily unreasonable, and unachievable. Imagine how can going around the city wall would breakdown the strong and high wall without bombs or big guns? The people of God faithfully plugged themselves into the plans of God and executed it accordingly. When they unleashed the final shout, the wall of Jericho crashed down like a deck of cards and uncommon victory manifested.

The scenario at the Valley of Dry Bones was spectacular.  In the realm of the Spirit God sat Prophet Ezekiel down in the valley. He caused him to walk around in the valley of the dry bones and Ezekiel ascertained that the bones were very dry.  Then God asked him one pertinent question, “Can these bones live?” Ezekiel did not respond negatively, neither did he affirm positively. He gave the most intelligent answer. He simply said, “Thou knoweth.” Which was a clear indication that only Almighty God that have plan for the final future outcome of the dry bones knew the possible transformation of the bones. The Almighty God of laudable plans commanded Ezekiel, “Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live.” (Ezekiel 37:4-5) Immediately, there was a shaking and rattling. The dry bones began to locate each other and connected together.  Instantly sinew and skin covered the bones but there was no life in them. Again, the commandment came forth from God, “Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.” (Ezekiel 37:9)  The servant of God prophesied as God bade him, and life came upon the slain bodies, and they stood up.

In the lives of the three Hebrews in the Babylonian governments of King Nebuchadnezzar God had a plan.  The three servants of the Most-High God faithfully plugged themselves in the plan of Almighty God by refusing to worship the idol god of King Nebuchadnezzar. “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.” (Daniel 3:16-18) The evil king commanded that the servants of God be thrown into the burning fiery furnace. At the very moment the presence of God was waiting for them in the furnace. Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” (Daniel 3:24-25) The three Hebrews came out of the burning furnace and even their hairs were not singed. Great men in the kingdom of Nebuchadnezzar gathered and watched in amazement and ‘saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.’ (Daniel 3:27)

God had called several men and women in the past and fulfilled those plans in their various ministries.  Noah was called to be the anchor of His first salvation project.  God did not put him to shame. He empowered him to build the boat of salvation called Ark of Noah to safe remnant of his generation. He called Moses, a stammerer as a powerful instrument to deliver the Israelites from the dungeon of Pharaoh.  The Prophets of old were empowered for miraculous deed because of the glorious plans He had concerning their lives. The Apostles of Christ in the first century in the New Testament were not left behind. On the day of Pentecost, Heaven came down according to His plan, “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” (Luke 24:49) The disciples faithfully plugged themselves into the plans of God. Then Heaven came down in the city of Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost and power of Holy Spirit filled His servants according to His words. The empowerment of the plans of God manifested in the first preaching of Apostle Peter that brought 3000 souls into the Kingdom of God.  God wrought wonders in the various ministries of His servants according to His plans.

Wherever you are at this moment and whatever situation or condition you find yourself, rest assured that God has an awesome plan for your life. You are uniquely created in the image of God for His glory.  Your life is not an accident, and your situation is not strange to the Creator. The story of your life had been pre-written in the heart of God before you came to this world. Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5) God is aware of every step you are taking because He ordered those steps. “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.” (Psalm 37:23) In your pains, He beholds your victory in His plan. In the valley of your life, He will uplift you and take you to the mountain top for His glory according to His plan. He cannot abandon you when you needed Him most in your life. If you continue to do what is right and just, He will not leave you to the desire of your enemies. “I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.” (Psalm 119:121) Jeremiah ascertained in Lamentation, “It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23) That is why you have to count on His thoughtfulness, His mercy, His compassion, and faithfulness, and patiently wait for Him for the execution of His awesome plans for your life. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6) In faith plug your life into the plan of Almighty God today and patiently wait and behold the manifestation of those plans for His glory and your benefits in your life.

Prayer: Oh Lord I might have been ignorant in the past about the reality that you had plans concerning my life. The various facts in the word of God confirmed those plans that you intend to give me an expected desired end.  I pray this day Heavenly Father, let me, by faith, humbly plug myself into your laudable plans concerning my life for your glory. Help me, Heavenly Father to live for you doing what is righteous and acceptable unto you from this moment on, in Jesus name, Amen.
