PRAYER FOR DELIVERANCE OF NIGERIA FROM THE INVASION OF TERRORISM
And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD. And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, O LORD God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth. LORD, bow down thine ear, and hear: open, LORD, thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living God. Of a truth, LORD, the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands, And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them. Now therefore, O LORD our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD God, even thou only. (2 King 19:14-19)
- In total humility, King Hezekiah resigned into the hands of the Creator because the situation was beyond the abilities of the King. He cried unto God for His divine intervention because he trusted in the Living God, Let us totally commit the problems of insecurity that is plaguing our country Nigeria into the hands of God for His divine intervention and that in His mercy He may divinely rescue us in Jesus name, Amen.
Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. (Ezekiel 36:25)
- Let us look inward in a true remorseful humility and sincerely confess our sins, the sins of our beloved country, the sins of corruption and wickedness of our past and present leaders, the sins of the nonchalant attitudes of our spiritual leaders and fake prophets in the nation of Nigeria, that God, in His infinite mercy may forgive us all our sins and our wicked ways in Jesus name, Amen.
- Let us pray that God may sprinkle the clean water of His word upon our hearts so that we may be convicted of our sins and genuinely repent of our sins so that we may become acceptable in God’s eyes, so that our pleas before Him will not be a wasteful exercises in Jesus name, Amen.
- Oh LORD, bow down thine ear, and hear: open, LORD, thine eyes, and see: and hear the schemes of wickedness that emanates from the hearts of terrorists (mention there names as many as you can recollect) that had invaded and still invading the peace of every nooks and crannies of the nation of Nigeria. These wicked elements are very advanced and sophisticatedly dangerous, killing and maiming innocent people in Nigeria—both Christians, Muslims and unbelievers.
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
- Like King Hezzekaiah, one of the righteous people of God in his own time, let us pray that the Heavenly Father will stretch His able hands to the terrorism situations in Nigeria to save us from the hands of these destroyers in Jesus name, Amen.
Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy (Isaiah 54:15-16)
- Let us pray that God may break the back bones of the financiers of these terrorists, let us pray that the confidence of their various leaders will be shaken and those that are supplying weapons to the terrorists, and all people that are hiding behind these evil organization that God will expose them, subdue the organization and shatter and scatter them in Jesus name, Amen.
