THEY SHALL FEAR THE NAME OF THE LORD (LYRICS)
When shadows press like iron chains, we lift our eyes to heaven,
A living word breaks every doubt, a holy breath begins to flow.
No weapon formed can steal our song, night can’t dim God’s light,
His promises outlast the storm, our hearts will rise and quicken.
They shall fear the name of the Lord from the west,
And His glory shall shine from the rising of the sun.
When the enemy comes in harassment like a flood.
Spirit of the Lord shall lift up standard against him.
Clean hands seek the merciful, truth outshines the darkest lie,
We stand on grace that will not fail, through every tear and trial.
Righteousness will break through all, hope will never lose its fire,
The Lord is faithful, He is our fortress, our deliverer, our desire.
They shall fear the name of the Lord from the west,
And His glory shall shine from the rising of the sun.
When the enemy comes in harassment like a flood.
Spirit of the Lord shall lift up standard against him.
So, breathe, my soul, refuse the shame, the Lord will make a way,
Hear the promise, hold unto Him, His power keeps hearts awake.
In dawn, in battle, and in the storm, His name will still be near,
They shall fear, they shall believe, they shall rise with Him.
They shall fear the name of the Lord from the west,
And His glory shall shine from the rising of the sun.
When the enemy comes in harassment like a flood.
Spirit of the Lord shall lift up standard against him.
